These select organisations aim to benefit not only wildlife but the environments and communities surrounding them. We believe in what these organisations do and we trust their integrity and vision. david shepherd wildlife foundation

The David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation is a highly effective wildlife conservation charity funding key projects across Africa and Asia. For more than 30 years, DSWF has supported front line conservation projects to help secure a future for wildlife in their natural habitat.

african ParkS

 African Parks manages 15 parks covering 10.5 million hectares, representing seven of Africa’s 11 ecological biomes. This is the largest and most ecologically diverse area in Africa under conservation management for any one NGO in Africa. As a premier non-profit conservation organisation, African Parks takes direct responsibility for the rehabilitation and long-term management of protected areas in partnership with governments and local communities. The organisation is led by President, HRH Prince Harry, and is recognised by the United Nations, National Geographic, WWF, US Fish and Wildlife Service, and governments throughout Africa. Given African Parks’ competency and expertise in protected area management, African Parks is securely positioned to achieve 20 parks by 2020.

tompkins conservation

Tompkins Conservation is a diverse range of conservation initiatives in Patagonia (Chile and Argentina). These efforts create parklands, sustain biodiversity, restore degraded lands, reintroduce missing species, encourage environmental activism, and promote ecological agriculture. Tompkins Conservation has donated more than 407,000 hectares (over 1 million acres) to CONAF (the national forest service of Chile) which contributed to the creation of 6 new National Parks and the expansion of 3 others.

Panthera

Panthera is the only organization in the world devoted exclusively to the conservation of the world’s wild cats. Their team of leading biologists and law enforcement experts develop innovative strategies to address the dire threats facing cheetahs, jaguars, leopards, lions, pumas, snow leopards, and tigers.

grumeti FUND

The Grumeti Fund contributes to the conservation of the Serengeti ecosystem, its natural landscape, and its wildlife.  Located in the western corridor of the Serengeti ecosystem, a region considered by many to be an international treasure, the Grumeti concessions are bountiful lands, rich in flora and fauna. In partnership with local communities alongside effective management and law enforcement strategies, Grumeti has helped animal populations in the Serengeti rebound dramatically. They have become a great conservation success story in one of the most sought-after photographic safari destinations in the world.

Onçafari was created to promote environmental conservation and foster the socioeconomic development through ecotourism and scientific studies in Brazil. They develop conservation initiatives to protect jaguars in the region of the Pantanal and have initiated a maned wolf (Chrysocyon brachyurus) conservation project in Mogi Guaçu, in the Brazilian state of São Paulo.

The mission of the American Prairie Reserve is to create a 3-million acre reserve in the Northern Great Plains - the largest nature reserve in the continental United States. It is home to diverse native wildlife such as: bison, moose, pronghorn, elk, bobcat, mountain lion, cougar, big horn sheep, coyote, red fox, river otter, badger, weasel, mink, porcupine, and countless grassland birds. The Northern Great Plains is part of WWF's top 25 most valuable and threatened ecosystems in the world. With less than 2% in reserves, the Northern Great Plains is one of the least protected places on Earth. 

desert lion conservation project

The Desert Lion Conservation Project is a small non-profit organisation dedicated to the conservation of desert-adapted lions in Northern Namibia. They collaborate with other conservation bodies in the quest to find a solution to human-lion conflict, to elevate the tourism value of lions, and to contribute to the conservation of the species.

giraffe conservation foundation

The Giraffe Conservation Foundation (GCF) is the only NGO in the world that concentrates solely on the conservation and management of giraffe in the wild throughout Africa.

gondwana conservation foundation

The Gondwana Conservation Foundation (GCF) is a non-profit organisation contributing to the conservation of South Africa’s threatened and endangered wildlife and vegetation relevant to the Southern Cape of South Africa through active management, training and skills development of the local people.
